Professor of Anesthesia and Surgery University of California San Francisco, USA Dr. Claus Niemann has had leadership roles within the International Liver Transplantation Society, The Transplant Society and also serves as Associate Editor for Transplantation. He has consulted for several governments and countries looking to establish transplantation programs. Dr. Niemann has also been the Principal Investigator on several federally funded studies, including experimental and clinical research in organ protection during transplantation. In addition, he has served on several federal panels and committees that oversee transplantation in the United States and review regulatory bylaws.
