Curie Ahn, Korean physician, scientist, and educator, trained at Seoul National University Hospital also trained at Cincinnati Medical Center. She was the first woman to become medical professor in Seoul National University Hospital. As a pioneer in transplantation and immunology, she studies genetic regulation of immune responses in xenogeneic circumstances using human immune-regulatory gene transgenic pigs. As a director of transplantation research center, she set up efficient organ procurement system and facilitated deceased-donor transplantation in Korean society. As a mentor, she will provide you with the most recent and useful knowledge in both clinical and translational research in the field of transplantation. Also she will guide your way to build up career as a woman physician in the medical field.
