Professor Anil Dhawan – Biography

Professor of paediatric Hepatology, Director of the Paediatric Liver, GI and Nutrition Centre and Clinical Director and Corporate Medical Director , Paediatrics,  King’s College Hospital, London.

Prof Dhawan’s research interests  include human hepatocyte transplantation, outcome of liver disease and transplantation in children. He heads the GMP cell therapy unit at King’s college hospital and also leads the group on human hepatocyte biology and transplantation. His research is supported by MRC, NIHR, FP7, DoH and MOWATLabs. He has edited four books on liver disease in children and human hepatocyte transplantation. He is on the editorial board of several journals including Journal of Hepatology.
