Allison Tong is an Associate Professor (full-time research) at the Sydney School of Public Health, The University of Sydney and hold a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Career Development Fellowship. She is a social scientist with an interest in research priority setting, patient preferences, and core outcomes in chronic kidney disease, organ donation and transplantation. She is the lead author of two seminal reporting guidelines for qualitative health research guidelines for qualitative research (Consolidated criteria for reporting qualitative research [COREQ], Enhancing transparency in reporting the synthesis of qualitative health research [ENTREQ], both endorsed by prominent international biomedical journals and by the Enhancing the Quality and Transparency of Health Research (EQUATOR) network as key reporting guidelines. She is an Associate Editor for Transplantation and the American Journal of Kidney Disease.  Allison is an Executive Committee member of the Standardised Outcomes in Nephrology (SONG) Initiative.
