Biosketch Professor Anna Forsberg I was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1969. I became a registered nurse in 1991 at the School of Nursing in Halland. After a short period at the county hospital in Varberg I returned to Gothenburg and started my clinical career at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital Transplant Unit. I have mainly performed my organ donation and organ transplantation research at the Transplant unit of this hospital. In 2001 I defended my thesis entitled “Health related quality of life and coping after liver transplantation” at the Department of Surgery, University of Gothenburg. I became an associate professor in 2009 and in 2011 I was promoted to professor in nursing at the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. In 2011 I moved with my family to the south of Sweden. After working as a senior lecturer at the Institute of Health Sciences at Lund University for a couple of years, I became a clinical professor in caring sciences specialising in organ transplantation in 2013. Today I do my research and provide nursing care to thoracic transplant patients at the University hospital in Lund.
