Dr. Cynthia Gries is the Medical Director of the Lung Transplant Program at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Gries attended medical school at the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL. She completed her internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and completed her fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She subsequently completed her masters in Epidemiology at the University of Washington. Dr. Gries is involved in research with her main focus being on improving the long-term outcomes in lung transplant patients. She is an international speaker regarding recipient selection and the lung allocation process.
