Shaifali Sandal, MD, graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Chemistry in 2005. Following this she pursued Medicine at the St George’s University School of Medicine and graduated in 2009.  She completed residency in Internal Medicine at the SUNY Upstate Medical University, Nephrology fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Transplant Nephrology fellowship at the McGill University Health Center, and a research fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the McGill University Health Center, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her clinical and research interests include improving access to living donor kidney transplantation, and improving long term transplant outcomes. Dr. Sandal is also collaborating with basic scientists to increase our understanding about the immunologic aspects of transplantation.
