Dr. Agbor is an Associate Staff Clinician at the National Institutes of Health and Co-Director at the Laboratory of Transplantation Genomics at the National Heart, and Blood Institute -NHLBI- (Bethesda Maryland) and the Genomic research Alliance for Organ Transplantation (GRAfT). GRAfT is a consortium of 5 transplant hospitals and the NHLBI with principal goal of using novel non-invasive precision genomic approaches to profile allograft injury in relation to transplant complications. In addition to his research role, Dr. Agbor is a transplant pulmonologist at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Comprehensive Transplant Center (Baltimore, Maryland).

Sean Agbor graduated medical school from the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon followed by doctoral and post-doctoral training in Dr. Eugene Davidson’s laboratory at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington DC. He continued internship, residency and Chief residency at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and then pursued joint fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center. His research interest focuses on the use novel genomic approaches to study the mechanisms underlying allograft failure.
