Diana Florescu joined Transplant Infectious Diseases Program at University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2006. Dr. Florescu has been involved in multiple innovative research protocols with the goal to advance the knowledge in the field of transplantation and ultimately to improve the care of transplant recipients. Dr. Florescu's research interests include, but are not limited to, small bowel and multivisceral transplantation, pediatric transplantation and invasive viral infections (in particular adenovirus and norovirus). Her research work is reflected in the numerous articles and book chapters that she published. Dr. Florescu is interested in fostering academic cooperation among different transplant centers and from different specialties to advance the knowledge in transplantation.
